My Experiences

Hardware Developer: QIAlgorithms

QIAlgo

QIAlgorithms is a medical technology company based in Chongqing, China focusing on improving pets' health. Our main products include dog/cat collars and dog/cat feeders. These products integrate AI chips that help monitor pets' behaviors and health conditions. Working for a startup company, I often have to work on multiple roles. I helped created a question answering server, using Go and Zhipu AI APIs. I also helped developing an FPGA based AI chip by deploying a ML model onto a Xilinx FPGA.

Co-Founder: Hyperbound-Splash

Splash is a new speed socializing app aiming to improve people's friendmaking efficiency. In this app, users get to choose what time range he or she wants to match with other users. Once matched, our system will assign a random location on campus and 3 random ice-breaking games. This app is implementated with Flutter and Firebase. In addition to developing, I also helped the team spreading posters on campus and attrtact new users. We managed to get 700+ downloads in the first two weeks of launching. We also made to top 10% best products during our pitch to Y-Combinator.

Student Resercher: BOLT

BOLT

BoLT is a bottom-up, community-based system that uses a public ledger to create a transparent and universally accessible system where businesses can raise money by selling claims to their future goods and services at a discount. Furthermore, the claims are immediately tradeable and can function as a medium of exchange within the community. I tested out throughly the website using Python and Selenium. I wrote 5 testing files that tested throughly the functionalities mainly on user authentication and transaction.
